Hi, I’m Lisa. I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Manchester. I previously trained as a Psychologist, but in 2017 I left that behind and moved to the UK, later deciding to pursue the creative career I had always wanted. When discussing projects I normally say “There isn’t really anything I don’t like doing within design”.
Even though I have preferences, what I find truly enjoyable is the challenge of a new brief. I’d say I’m quite conceptual and enjoy storytelling through my projects. I like drawing and illustrating in general, which allows me to be adaptable. I particularly enjoy working with typography and editorial, but I’m also interested in art direction and printmaking.
In the future, I’d rather be part of a team than working freelance, so I can keep learning more about design by working alongside others. If I could chose my workplace, I’d go for a design/branding studio to pursue teamwork and diversity of briefs over time.
