Visual Artist & Filmmaker from Hackney East London.
Exploring the current state of my mind is the root to my creative practice. This allows me to create personal and reflective work, expressing my own emotions and thoughts, through visual storytelling and poetry. I explore the themes of nostalgia, memory and change, looking at the emotional affects triggered by these feelings. I often work with archived material as it represents our memories and past. I visually disrupt the material to create new meanings, opinions and narratives. My graduate film installation ‘Been Here Before’ explores the emotional responses and affects change has on us, our nature and our future. In this next stage I’m looking forward to pursuing my interests in installation and visual art, hoping to create more immersive work to be experienced in gallery spaces.
