The Beauty in Death
My graduate collection inspired by 19th century Italian Renaissance Art; contrasting with a modern, baroque Italian artist who portrays his vision of death, decay and religion along with areas of Cultural Japanese fashion. My collection is to create a feeling of confusion and concern and by doing this, there was an attention to detail and craft within pattern cutting and dressmaking. Coinciding with a range of materials, mixed proportions and a dark colour palette; within each look there is similar design elements but all from different research points. As a conceptual collection, my aim was to evoke a feeling of confusion and concern and a look of confinement and distressing.
