Between states

As we move through life, the environments we inhabit, the people we encounter, the hobbies we nurture, and even the advertisements we absorb, all

accumulate into the shifting bundle of perceptions we come to recognise as the self.

I’m drawn to the way passing moments leave quiet traces, shaping who we are. Moments that slip passed us begin to shape the evidential structure of who we

ultimately become.

My practice explores how these moments can be documented across different surfaces, and how they can integrate with one another to reflect the

fragmented, overlapping passages of thought that define contemporary experience.

In an increasingly overwhelming suburban environment, where multiple sources of stimuli compete for our attention, and the pace of daily life blurs one

moment into the next, it becomes difficult to locate a clear sense of self. My work attempts to hold onto these traces, to slow them down, and to make visible

the subtle evidence of identity that is so easily lost within the noise of modern living.
