Daniel Hope BA (Hons) Photography
This body of work stemmed from my dissertation and following project based on gentrification. Originally aiming to research into Ardwicks historical class changes from the late 1800's and to document the current change in housing going on, this took a back seat once I started to explore the area more and found similar characteristics to where I'm from in Northumberland. I started to explore these aspects in my photography, looking into domestic life, architecture, community and my personal relation to the area since living here. This project became a study of the area which I enjoyed. I look to explore Ardwick more and continue to document the area whilst doing the same to similar areas and communities in Manchester, on top of my music and commercial photography after university.
