Maisie Hedges BA (Hons) Photography
Maisie is a North West based photographer who has recently completed her Bachelors(Hons) degree in photography at Manchester School of Art. Her work comes as a product of tackling mental health difficulties and she aims to display certain elements of this through each project.
Her most recent project, 'Between A Rock And A Hard Place', combines elements of both performance and constructed photography. Influenced by materials and the ways in which different elements are able to manipulate them, she uses fabric to frame the landscape around her, turning the surrounding environment into a stage.
A book accompanies these images, documenting each landscape she has visited over the course of the project. This aims to give the viewer more context and further allows them to explore each landscape as she did.
