Sarah Anthony BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation
Sarah Anthony is an illustrator and animator based in Manchester, UK. Her practice centres on wellbeing, with an emphasis on our environment and green spaces. Sarah is interested in how our imaginations can transform the mundane, and create social and environmental change. She is driven by curiosity and community values, and inspired by the possible narratives of the world around us.
Her most recent projects look at how we utilise our public green spaces; looking at integrating design into the landscape for public enjoyment and engagement, as well as collaborative and community based work.
SPROUT is a newspaper publication, created by Sarah, all about gardening. It shares reflections, stories, recipes, tips and much more about the positive effects that gardening can have on our mental and physical health. SPROUT celebrates community gardening and food growing schemes and aims to educate young adults on mindful, practical engagement with nature, as well as food stability and production.
The publication has been printed on easily compostable, recycled newsprint with eco-friendly inks and published online, as two accessible and sustainable platforms.
